How to impress an 8th grade girl as a 7th grader?

Theres this girl in 8th grade and she's really pretty =) She started varsity basketball for our school =) I played varsity as a 7th grader so thats something we have in common... I've talkedd to her b4 but just every once in a while.... Is there any way i could impress her or get her to consider dating me???

Age is only a number when your talking about a situation like this, you guys are only a year, two max apart, that's NOTHING.

Just forget the age difference and get her to notice you, tell her how you feel, and be her friend, show her the kind of person that you are!

Seriously. I want to get ready so I can start dating in 7th or 8th grade. Coming from a 6th or 7th grade girl would be best, but from a guy who's impressed one would be good to.

This is not to start dating them in 6th grade. This so when I start dating, I will already have somebody that likes me. I am on Honor Roll, and just got 1st place at a Math Tournament, so I think I'm focusing on school enough. And anyway I am pretty focused on 1 girl, so that shows I can think about girls and do well at school at the same time

Why do you feel it is necessary to start dating so early? Is it a social or status symbol for you? Do you need someone else to improve your self esteem?

Those are not good reasons for a relationship and you'll only end up hurting yourself or someone else.

School should be what is occupying your mind during those years. Take advantage of learning all you can and getting into college with good grades. This economy is rough right now and if the healthcare bill goes through taxes will go up and the economy will only get tougher.

Use this time to develop yourself as a person and lay a foundation for your future.

This may look like an eyesore at first glance, but keep reading, it’ll help you best answer my question. I’d really appreciate it. So, basically, I’ve liked this girl since the 4th grade. We’re in 10th grade now and I need some advice from you guys. We were good friends in middle school, and I went to her birthday party in the summer of 8th grade. I wanted to date her in 8th grade but I put off asking her because I wasn’t sure she even wanted a boyfriend (Plus, middleschool relationships never work). We’ve drifted a bit now that we’re in high school because we’ve never had any classes together (Bummer right?), but not to a point were it would be awkward for us to have a conversation. The only time I see her at school is briefly in the hall (when I DO see her I usually do a combination of waving/saying her name/smiling.. and she usually smiles and says hey back.). I want to approach this relationship as delicately as possible because I really want it to last and I don’t want to screw up. I really like her. As far as I know, she’s never had a boyfriend before so I’d be her first. I feel like if I don’t make a move sometime soon nothing will happen with us, and someone else will snatch her up. And.. I’ll always wonder what could have been if I just told her how I felt. Yet, at the same time I’m afraid that if we go out we’ll end up like 96.3% of other “highschool relationships” and break up a mere month later. It really scares me because I’ve liked her for so long. Any tips? Advice?

Aw...that's cute....Why don't you try to befriend her first, before asking her out? I mean, you hardly talk to her and you expect her to just suddenly agree to be your girlfriend? Start talking to her again, become friends...hopefully she will develop a crush on you (if she doesn't have one already), and then you can go from there. Don't be too planful about it though. Just let it happen naturally.

What are some good hairstyles for a 6th grade girl going to a dance?

In my town, elementary school goes until 6th grade. I will be graduating 6th grade in May 2010, and apparently our principal and the 6th grade teachers are planning a dance for us. I'm not sure if it's casual or formal yet, since we aren't supposed to know, but my friend overheard them talking, so I need a hairstyle that can go to everything from casual to formal. I want to look nice, and if it is a formal dance, I will wear a long crimson dress. I never ever wear my hair down except going to bed, so I'd prefer it to be a style where you can wear it up. My friends all say that my hair looks so good down, but I don't think so, and either way, I don't want everybody gaping at my hair when I walk in. I'm not the type of person who likes that much attention. We have very attentive people at our school. My classmate just got braces 5 days ago, and as soon as he walked in, there were people standing around him just for that; even after 2 days people were crowding around him. Anyways, I have a round face, and very dark brown hair (brown on the ends and pretty much black on top, [I'm half white half asian, so my hair is like black and I have very very light skin]) and it is about a foot longer than shoulder length (I know the foot measurement makes it seem really long, but it's actually not, and that's the measurement when it is straight) and wavy, curly when I have it cut short. My mom won't let me go to a hairstylist, or cut it, or get it dyed/highlighted, so I need something I can do myself but looks beautiful because I have three little sisters so my mom won't have time to do my hair for me. I really really want to look nice, and I am even thinking of wearing my hair down tomorrow so my crush can see how I look with it down, since I am really hoping he will ask me to it. Please give me some ideas of ways I can wear my hair! If you have them, please attach links for pictures as well! Btw, I already searched for like the whole day, but google and the other yahoo questions don't answer my questions. Thanks!

Well i think that you should just ask her. The worst that will happen is that she will say no. It kind of seems like she likes you, but i cant really tell you exactly because i dont no her and i havent seen you guys. You could try asking her who she likes so that it kind of looks like you like her but she wont no for sure..you look just curious as to who she likes. Or if you arent afraid to ask one of her friends you can ask then who she likes or even if she likes you. And i dont think you are to young. Yo have a crush and its cute.
