NO I DON'T HATE HIM. Ok sorry I just thought I would clear that up so no one goes on about how I'm just jealous of him. I don't love him I don't hate him. But now onto the question, I was listening to the radio the other night and one of his songs came on which I now know is called Love Me, but one line to the lyrics is "oh how you do me" is it just me or is this kinda suggesting something? I just didn't think a line like that was appropriate for a song that many young girls would be listening to. Forgive me if I entirely misunderstood the meaning.

I'm a 19 year old girl in college. One of the few girls under 20 it seems that are able to see Justin Bieber for what he is. A mediocre talent. I've seen him sing acapella before on youtube and honestly he is simply above average. He's a good singer, not great by any means. He can play the piano and guitar as well as most people who play every day can...there is a reason he doesn't play too often live. He also acts like he is from the ghetto when he grew up in a rich white neighborhood. He is only popular for his looks. (Proven when he lost a few thousand followers on twitter after cutting his hair.)
But what I can't stand most of all is how some girls actually try comparing him to Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, or the Beatles.....Really? He is not even in the same GALAXY as they are. That is so disrespectful to those phenominal artists.
Biebers lyrics are SO pathetic. They are simplistic, unoriginal, all about the same thing, and have no depth to them whatsoever. Do you "Beliebers" even care about lyrics?
His songs seem like they were written by a 4 year old in the car on his way to a recording studio after being asked to write a love song about a girl.
It is disrespectful, disgusting, and just plain horrible to even consider using Justin Bieber's name in the same sentence as any of the great talents unless you are saying how far away he is from them.

And you know what, I get it. You have a crush on him because he's attractive. But he is a terrible musician. Have any teenage boy grow out their hair like Biebers used to be and have him sing songs about love and he will be famous. It is pathetic. Don't think it's true? It happens all the time. Aaron Carter, Jesse Mccartney, Justin Bieber, The Jonas Brothers, Cody Simpson, Greyson Chance...it never ends.
The thing is, this Justin Bieber kid would never date most of you. Why? He is phenominally shallow. Don't believe me? Look up the song Omaha Mall by Justin Bieber. Read the Lyrics...he is shallow
"Yo, there some girls

But you never know at the Omaha mall."

That is from one of his songs. He is a shallow, spoiled, fake, slightly above average singer. STOP WORSHIPPING HIM!

I just can't stand how so many great artists today get very little recognition because so many people are shallow and only like artists for looks.

And what is worse is all the awards he's winning. I know many "Beliebers" will say "That proves he is the best singer! He has so many awards..." Yeah, those awards were all voted on by YOU. In every musical award show where judges and fellow musicians vote on each other, he wasn't even nominated for a single award. These shows just aren't as watched or sometimes even televised. Not becuase they are cheap or less important. Because all the "Popular" artists that are popular because they sing about love, or they are attractive, are the only ones most of America wants to watch.

It is because of all the "Clones" in america, that actually talented artists can never have as much success. CLONES = Someone who wears what is popular, listens to what is popular or "hot" singers, acts the way that is supposed to be popular...you get it, they have no personality.

If you managed to read my entire post, congradulations, you are either a "Belieber" who didn't get mad after the first paragraph (who then attempted to defend the shallow kid,), or you actually agree with me to some extent and have taste in music.

Basically if you think Justin Bieber is one of the greatest musicians today, you have no right to participate in any conversations about talent when it comes ot music, and you have no taste or knowledge whatsoever when it comes to music. (By the way, I grew up in a family of music, I have played piano, guitar, cello, and flute my entire life and both my parents are conductors/teachers)

My question is...WHY do so few people in America actually care about lyrics anymore? Is our country really that shallow?

And as for the whole "He is talented on these instruments," here's the thing, I've seen him playing on youtube different songs. There are 7 year olds here in my parents music class WAY more talented than him. I've heard them play songs he plays on piano, guitar, drums, and they play SO much better. And my parents don't even have that big of a music class.

Alright, I just watched this video (courtesy of 54) on how Lil Wayne fans never back up there argument on why he's the best. I know a lot of people in this section hate Wayne, I know a lot love him. The only time this section really comes alive is when were arguing about something. So, we should argue. I want legit reasons as to why he's bad or why he's good (lyrics, videos, etc.). It's time to settle this. So, do you think Lil Wayne is a good rapper or a bad rapper?

There are only 2 songs that I like from Justin Bieber but his newest song Baby, It is really cool. People also say that Justin Bieber is Gay or Bisexual means that your also Gay or Bi If you listen to his music, It is completely outrageous. I don't believe that Justin Bieber is gay or bisexual because he doesn't look like it and If he was gay then why did a girl played his love interest in his music video Baby ? I'm straight and I think Justin Bieber is a better musician because his music is clean and appropriate. Some people call me gay because I prefer Justin's Music over Eminem or Soulja Boy. 1)This ain't the 80s no more, all that stuff is old. No body does that anymore. Ok this excuse has been used by too many groupies and fans of these artist. Skill is skill taking the time to improve as an emcee and connecting with the people is a must in hip hop no matter what age you are if you want to use that then why is it that people still bang micheal's old stuff even in this day and age its not because its just old but that he made good music the same with rakim, krs, 2pac, biggie, outkast, or any dope emcee then and now has done.

2)everyone doesnt have to have good lyrics. The most stupid thing I have ever heard people say. so your saying that you just listen to anything that seems pleasing to others. the artist should always atempt to differenciate themselfs and improve their writting. Its like its said before if your message aint shit then fuck the records you sold if you go platnum its got nothing to do with luck it just means a million people are stupid as fuck. maybe some of these wack rappers need to think about this

3)its all about the beat. again and again you hear the same thing that its all about the beat though it is important to have a good production it wont sound right if what is said dont sound right. would you still listen to a gucci song without a beat to it and it would still sound good.

4)im just the ghetto reporter. im the ghetto reporter. they say this same thing to get people out of their case. they say they just telling what goes on in the hood when they actually dont really even connect anymore to their neighborhood if they at all lived in the hood. they could really care less for their supporters

5)calling someone a hater. this is the most overused word that i have heard used. just like love i wonder if people even know the meaning sometimes. just because we decide to give our opinion that we dont think you got tight rhymes doesnt mean we hate on your cash flow we just want to hear more variaty. if you think that skill equals cash then you need to reevaulate the meaning of an emcee

6)thinking that you're dope just because you have Lil Wayne-esque punchlines. just because you can do a couple of punchlines like lil wayne(overrated in my opinion) doesnt mean you are one of the top best out. find your own style to use instead

7)"Homie, let the public decide." That doesn't mean the public of dope hiphop, but the public that determines sales so its more so on popularity and not in their skills.

8)That's dope but... my fans wouldn't understand it". That refers to how rappers think they have to make the same types of songs with the same subject throughout their career. If they started as a gangsta rapper, then they'll always be a gangsta rapper, even if they don't live that life

9)This is what they want." Sort of an excuse that allows them to make songs to sellout and not be individuals and follow what they are told to put out.

10)How are you going to tell me what's dope? You don't even listen to the radio. ((That's for those folks who seriously believe that the Billboard charts and Grammys showcase the greatest of hip-hop))
these guys couldnt even tell you the simple things about hip hop i saw a video of oj da juiceman taking a hip hop quiz and couldnt even get simple stuff that even lil wayne would have at least got. pop charts dont make you dope neither do grammys its what you put into your work rakim or lupe probably would not get many grammys but at least you know they put quality in everywork they do.

so these are ten more excuses that are made by wack rappers. they are given no critic as long as they are getting paid but whats wrong with wanting artist to improve their craft there is no hate for making money but as said by WEB du bois a society built on making money makers will not make men but through education can they be liberated. so this is my thought please comment and give your thoughts

Make demo CDs. Use music samplers application in your computer and record your songs.
Take part in events. Long way to go, you cant rush. Just dont think you want to be a famous celebrity and enjoy the unreal lifestyle. Believe in yourself, think music as your soul.

Why do so many imitate everything America seems to do?

What I don't get is that while I was living in Europe I often heard about how evil America is and how much certain academics and young people hated the United States, but what I found baffling, particulary among many of the hostile youth, is the fact that many of them wore Nikes, Ralph Lauren shirts, Levi Jeans, NY baseball caps, listened to Eminem, watched Friends, spent money on the latest Hollywood movies and ate fast food!!! Doesn't that sound contradictory? If you hate America and hate its economic dominance, wouldn't it make sense to just eat only local food, buy local clothing, ignore American television and music, and not make America richer and more powerful by buying its stuff. Seriously, Britain and France are highly Americanized, dressing like us, eating like us...isn't imitation the sincerest form of flattery? Well, I'm flattered!
Um, I hope that the last poster with the non-name was joking because all of Western Europe enjoys freedom of speech, religion, prosperity and the right to assembly. Besides Britain and Ireland, most have fairly sensible gun laws that allow private ownership. Please stop believing that Europe is a gulag state, thank you as it's quite advanced, and no, don't tell me, "move there" as I am an American and want to work to make America better.

I want to be a musician, I live in Australia and i want to make it in america to.
I have been told my Phantom City Studios in America that i have the potential for success in the music industry. I have just finished Year 12 and music is what i really want to do , but my family keeps telling me to do somwthing else .
But music is what i really want to do but i dont know where to go from here ?
do i move to america or i have no idea please heeellp ?
where do i go from here , to make it in the music industry ? ..and it dosnt help when i havent really got my family to support me.
