How to fix my frozen mac?

So my macbook is frozen. Its frozen on 2 windows and so when I first saw it I click om safari force close but then that was frozen too. So I try to restart but it says I have to click out of "are you sure you sure you want to quit safari" BUT THATS FROZEN I CANT DO ANYTHING. Help me!

Based on my general Unix knowledge if you can open a terminal you should be able to use ps -ef and pkill to get rid of the frozen applications and then restart them. Rebooting is fro Windows users. I don't really know how OS X shortcuts work but if no one else answers try Googleing what to do with OS X crashes etc. I'm sure there will be guides and stuff. ^_^

Help with Safari for Mac, it keeps freezing?

Ok, this problem has only happened when I try to load some myspace pages. It's normally like a band's profile that makes the application freeze and it even freezes on other pages occasionally. What happens is I'm trying to load the page, it's loading really slow, then the cursor turns into this:

and it won't let me click on anything. I can't refresh the page, I can't scroll down, I can't do anything, so it's essentially frozen. So I've been having t force quit the application and try again but the same thing happens every time. Any tips?

P.S.

This is a MacBook Pro and it's a little outdated, I bought it in 2004, and I'm not sure how much space it can store but it has 1.04 GB of free memory left, so I don't know if that's an issue.

You may not have enough power to run Safari, especially if you're using the newest version of the browser. When you say you have 1GB left, I think you mean hard drive space. I think you may have a memory issue. Go to crucial.com and let them scan your computer to see if you need a memory upgrade. If you can, you definitely should. You might also want to try to clear up some space on your laptop b/c that can slow a computer down. Lastly, you might consider switching your browser to Firefox temporarily to see if it poses the same issues.

how to unfreeze norton antivirus on my mac?

My computer has Norton installed and it scans basically everything. I inserted my flash drive, it started to scan it, i hit cancel (because it had already scanned it the previous day and i wouldn't want to give my own comp a virus).
when I hit cancel, nothing happened. Norton froze up. I tried force quit, but it did not register with the computer as an "open application" (it's icon was not in the doc, and not in the lst of 2 open applications in the force quit menu).

I tried shutting down the mac, but when i rebooted it the screen was still on my login. I tried logging out but it did not log me out . Whenever i roll my mouse over the top bar of the dialogue "scan" box of the norton ..thing...but i get the rainbow wheel of death.

So i have no idea what to do.

Norton is poison for a Mac, it's not required as Macs don't get malware, unless you purposely install it. (like a illegal copy of a program for instance that has malware in it))

Apple changes things on the OS level all the time, Norton expects OS X to remain the same, so Norton breaks and causes the behavior your experiencing.

If you need to clean malware off Windows files, the free OS X program (runs as a program when you wish) is ClamXav.

Norton has a uninstaller, use it. Never use it again.

you just have to make sure there is ample sunlight

in order to have a successful grow your going to have to do a lot of research and reading
so google and check out some video tutorials on youtube
there is also a book called the marijuana horticulture guide or something

It's not the seed, it's the plant. You can't tell the difference from seed. You have to cull the males later on. You need both if you want seeds but the females will bloom but not produce seed without males.

It needs light. Your setup doesn't need to be fancy. Just find a closet, put some floro lights in it and a small fan. Nice and simple. It will grow. Water little. They don't like too much water. When you think they need water just stick your finger down in the soil and if it is dry all the way down your finger that means it is time to water. Give the plant 18 hours of light a day for 4 months and then 12 hours of light a day after 4months untill it is time to harvest.....Goodluck.

Well luckily marijuana is a weed so it is easy to grow.
But if your not going to use chemicals your going to need soil with LOTS of nutrients, but using miracle grow will help it grow alot healthier making waaayyy better bud.
Basically good soil, clean water , about 18 hours of light ( high pressure sodium bulbs work fine for indoors) different light times for vegetative state and flowering help. A cheap way to add nutrients to soil is add banana peels to water and use that on the plants.

Download Redsn0w 0.9.6, google it and search for your mac version or windows

run Redsn0w , browse for the firmware file you just download, select and follow directions carefully

You don't & can't possibly have iOS 4.1. That is still under development from Apple, unless you downloaded one of the betas, in which case it would be obvious you can't jailbreak an unreleased version of the software.

If it is that you put a typo & actually have iOS 4.0.1 then just go to www.jailbreakme.com through Safari & you could jailbreak it there.

If your using a mac, you can use redsnow to jailbreak 4.2.1. There isn't a jailbreak out quite yet for windows. My suggestion would be to downgrade to 4.1 if you have your SHSH blobs on file with cydia and jailbreak with limera1n. I would do this because 4.3 will be out shortly and you will just have to wait some more for another JB for that. But it's up to you.

Its hard to explain in writing look up "french braid tutorials" on youtube there are some very good ones :)
also start off with practicing on DRY hair- wet hair makes it much harder to learn to braid because it tangles quickly
the best way to get good at it is to practice i used to be bad at braiding but now i can do complicated braids without even thinking about it because i had to braid my hair every day for a few weeks

Practice makes perfect. You can start off in the bathroom with your back to the mirror and a hand mirror nearby. Create the starter braid using both hands initially, but then switch all 3 parts to one hand and use the other hand to add hair to the outer part on one side. Then switch hands. Back and forth, back and forth. Before adding more out hair to the braid, you can grab the hand mirror and check your progress throughout the braid. Once you get the hang of it, you won't even need a mirror anymore. Your arms will get tired if you have long hair, so in between adding hair, you can let your arm rest for a minute or so.

I am a teacher working with African American youth. A White American boy came on here saying he has not gotten in trouble for selling in school. I told him that is ridiculous, and it proves my point that there are unfair discipline practices towards African American youth in school. Had that been one of my students, they would've been expelled. I've fought for a student once to not be suspended for wearing his hair a certain way (and no I don't teach high school).
Yahoo answers told me my response was a hate crime.

Since when was telling the world that there are unfair discipline practices in schools towards African Americans a hate crime? Of course, I wish that wasn't the case, and yes this White American should be charged for selling Rx drugs in schools, just like a youth of ANY race should be charged (and both with the same level of punishment, not one harsher than the other because of color difference).

First, weight lifting doesn't stunt your growth, that is a myth perpetuated by the fact that many great weight lifters are short (this is because they can compete at lower weight classes since they've got less weight from bone than taller competitors). However, I suggest not lifting until you are 14 or 15 years old, as your body is still under the strain of growing.

Second, don't run in ankle weights, it will ruin your form and that exposes you to a higher risk of injury.

To gain speed, you need to work on 3 things: running fast (obviously), flexiblity, and explosiveness.

For running fast, repetative sprints. Your repeats should range anywhere from 1/2 race distance to 1.5 times race distance. The shorter workouts focus on acceleration, the longer ones on muscular endurance. Take enough time between repeats to recover well.

For flexibility, always pay special attention to your stretching before and after you workout and take it seriously. Being flexible allows your body to more easily find its natural stride.

For explosiveness, activities like running up hills, stairs, activities that force you to stop and start suddenly (like ladder drills), or activities that force you to jump. Pretty much anything that require sudden, repeated exertion by your muscles.

Be sure to google around for a good warm up routine and good stretching exercises, as this is key to flexibility and avoiding injury.
