Questions About How To Delete Facebook Forever

Mandy asks…

How to DELETE facebook account FOREVER?

I was able to deactivate my account, but I want to delete it forever. Is this possible, or do they always hold onto your information.

admin answers:

I'm not really sure if you can delete your Facebook account, but you can deactivate it (which is basically deletion because nobody can view your profile, pictures of see anything of you. When they search for you, you will not come up. When you deactivate your Facebook profile, it is practically deleting it, but if you ever want to go back on it, sign in as you would normally, and your deactivation will be cancelled. Hope this helps :)

Nancy asks…

How do I delete a facebook page?

I created a page on facebook for a band that I manage and made it public a little too early. When I try to delete the page I am told that I am not permitted to do that. This is strange because I am the creator and the only admin. Can anyone offer some advice?

admin answers:

It might be easier to terminate all email accounts associated with that Facebook page but if you don't want to do that the only thing you can do is deactivate your account.

To do this, click on Settings>>Account Settings>>Deactivate Account. You will be sent an email to confirm that you want to terminate the account. Be aware that when you do this, it doesn't really delete it for good; you can reactivate it at any time and everything will still be there, just as you left it.

Questions About How To Impress A Girl

Chris asks…

How to impress girl who doesn't go to my school?

I'm in 9th grade and I liked a girl in 8th, but she went to another highschool!!!
In in drumline and want to impress her, or just let her know I'm thinking about her. How should I do that, msg on Facebook or wat?

admin answers:

Message on facebook? Ha no.

Go up to her and ask her out.
That'll impress her.

William asks…

how to impress girl in my new office who is senior and older than me?

hi frnds! recently i joined my new ofc..there is a girl who is in my team only and i like her very much and as i m new she is very helpful to me. she is 3 years older than me by age.plz tell me how to impress her.

admin answers:

Use sexy stares.

Helen asks…

How to impress girl I like on her birthday?

I have a close female friend whose birthday is coming up. I want her to really enjoy it on top of it being an opportunity to possibly move us closer to boyfriend and girlfriend. What are sweet things I could do for her? I am already planning some sort of party but have no idea what it will be.

admin answers:

It all depends on who she is. If it was me, i'd like if the guy collaborated with my friends to brainstorm and make it about everything I like. That would also ensure that no one I didn't like was invited haha. Make it fully themed for her. All her interests should be touched upon... Figure out a way to incorporate them into a day.

Carol asks…

How to impress a girl?

hey please tel me how can i impress girls. i am good looking and hav athelete physiqe.. but don have gf yet

admin answers:

You we're talking about how you look in your question-- dont brag about your looks to try to get a girlfriend. It makes you look conceited

On the other hand, don't look like a slob.

Be your self.

Never tell a lie to a girl to impress them because if you do start dating, the will eventually find out that you were lying.

Don't do things that you usually wouldn't do (ex. Curseing, talking a lot..) just to get a girl's attention.

Betty asks…

How to Impress a girl?

I want to impress girls, i need to know, what makes them happy? Suggestions please....

admin answers:

You should always be nice make her laugh don't make mean jokes about them defend her if someones mean treat her like a person not like a prize and always ALWAYS be faithful

Questions About How To Deactivate Facebook Forever

Thomas asks…

How do you close a facebook account forever?

If I no longer want any of my information to be stored by facebook, what do I need to do? I know that there is more to it than simply deactivating. When you deactivate facebook simply saves your information should you want to activate your account again. That to me isn't closing an account. Closing is permanent. So, how is this done?

admin answers:

Okay,
you know how to disable your account, good.

You want every post you have ever participated in to be gone forever?
This isnt so hard, but you will be taking a bit of time

Go to your profile page
Go to your wall
hover your mouse over each entry
see the word "remove"
click and follow prompts

Now every reference that post was made to vanishes forever, others walls, news feeds everything.

Good luck hope to see you back

Best Regards,
Jer

Mary asks…

Why won't Facebook let my deactivate my account?

I couldn't sign in so I tried to change my password, then that made it worse because it never sent my the confirmaiton code to finish it. Now I don't know what name my account is under. Just help me get the hell out of there. Any direct contact emails. I've used the help bar but it doesn't address why I'm not able to log in. I have the instructions of how to do it, but I can't so anything because I can't log in to the account I want to deactivate. WTF I'm trapped in Facebook forever.

admin answers:

Hi,

Contact police!
THAT is YOUR ACCOUNT, not FACEBOOK OWNER'S account. You HAVE RIGHT to deactivate.

Hope helps.

Laura asks…

Question about deactivating my Facebook?

Please, first off- be nice :)

Due to some personal issues, I've deactivated my Facebook. I don't need it in my life right now, it's far too addicting and time consuming. I'm sure some of you would agree (but please don't answer just to bash Facebook). Anyway, when I feel that it's right I will in fact reactivate. I have almost 800 friends and have made some good memories, etc. on Facebook. I want it all to be saved, which it is.

However upon looking up deactivation policy I'm sort of confused. Some sites say two weeks (even on Facebook), other sites don't specify. Like, on one of Facebook's pages about deactivation policy it says something about two weeks, but other pages on Facebook's site do not specify and make it seem as you can keep it deactivated as long as you want. I will be gone from Facebook for who knows how long. It could be weeks, or months. Lets say I don't get back on Facebook for four months. If I sign in, will my information be there? Again I don't want to get rid of my Facebook forever, I just want to temporarily get rid of it. I'll be back, but if it is a two week period before your account is permanently deleted I'll sort of be upset. I don't want to have to reactivate and then deactivate every two weeks, just to keep my profile. I find that silly, especially since deceased persons on Facebook have their profiles there forever, even though they haven't signed in. Almost the same as deactivating.

Can anyone help me on this? Is there this "two week" time period or can I go without using it for however long I want?
can you shut up CQ-DX? I again said to be nice and not to bash Facebook. It's a social website and the point is to stay connected with people. I have known each of those people on a very personal level at one point or another in my life. While I do not see them all daily I am still interested in their life. Mark Zuckerburg never thought his website would get that big. It's not a marketing ploy and they aren't evil people. Facebook never did advertising. It got to where it is today because people like using their service. If you don't like it don't use it and don't take the time to comment on a question about Facebook.

Thank you to the rest of the answers. I am still unsure of what the real deal is, but I guess I will find out when I reactivate my Facebook when I am ready to do so.

admin answers:

When you deactivate your account, your profile and all its associated information are immediately made inaccessible to other Facebook users. Although this means that you effectively disappear from the service, your information will remain saved by Facebook so that you can reactivate your account whenever you want.

Maria asks…

Facebook break or Facebook withdrawal?

I deactivate my Facebook account three weeks ago because 1) it was disrupting my school life and 2) it's starting to lose appeal to me. I told my friends and myself that I'll leave Facebook for a month so that I can have more time to focus on school. A month is almost up and I can't decided if I want to go back or not. I kind of think that a lot of things on Facebook are stupid, annoying and too immature for me. Now I actually wouldn't mind leaving Facebook forever. But the trouble is I have made about a dozen online friends there and I stayed in touch with weekly before I deactivated my account. I would like to keep in touch with them but I don't know how they would take it if I ask them for their e-mail address to stay in touch with them. I don't know if some of them would mind. We are online pals but I think some of them are still quite private when it comes to personal information and such. So what should I do? I want to leave FB but I don't want to lose them.

admin answers:

Just explain to them that you're leaving facebook because you don't want one anymore, and that if they'd like to stay in touch they can email you at any time (then provide your email address) or add you on msn or whatever you want, but that if they don't want to that you understand why and that it's been nice getting to know them.
Then the ball is in their court and its ultimately up to them. If they don't want to stay in touch out side of facebook, there's not much you can do if you want to get rid of your facebook.

Mandy asks…

how can i erase my facebook account forever?

I know how to deactivate the account but i want to fully eradicate.

admin answers:

This very point was covered by "Computeractive" Magazine (it's a UK computer magazine) in the issue of 19. March - 1. April 2009 (p43). This is what the magazine said:
(1) Got a Facebook account and want to get rid of it? For most people, the first step would be to click the Settings button on the Facebook menu bar and then click on the Deactivate link at the bottom of the settings list. However, this doesn't actually remove the account - instead, it puts it into cold storage, preserving all the settings and personal information in case anyone has a change of heart. Lots of people don't fancy the idea of having that info tucked away somewhere, just in case.
(2) To completely delete a Facebook account, use the browser's Back button to return to the main Facebook page and then click the Help link. When the page opens, type 'delete' into the search box at the top and then press Return. After a moment, Facebook will display a set of instructions that explain what to do and what happens to the account. Read these carefully and then proceed by clicking the 'here' link at the end of the paragraph.
(3) At the next screen, click the Submit button to continue and then at the next screen, type in the password associated with the account that's going to be deleted and then type in the required capture words. This is now the last chance to cancel. Still want to delete the Facebook account? Click the Okay button and after a moment the Permanently Delete Account dialogue box appears. Click Okay to finish up. Note that Facebook still retains the data for a further 14 days. Don't log on during that period and on day 15 the data gets zapped - forever.
That's what "Computeractive" Magazine said about deleting a Facebook account. I've never been on Facebook, so I haven't tried these instructions, but I have no reason to think that they won't work. "Computeractive" advice is very reliable. Best of luck.

Paul asks…

How lightly are you go get caught when hacking a game on facebook?

Just out of interest I want to no would you be more lightly to get caught are not when hacking a facebook game and if you get caught what can happen

admin answers:

First poster is way off topic.

I don't know at what level of hacking you intend on doing; I don't risk it because although I love games, I'd prefer to keep my Facebook account. Facebook says absolutely nothing about what happens if you hack, which is a good idea, because no one knows, and it makes everyone too afraid and intimidated to find out. Here's someone on the extreme level of hacking, who is currently in prison.

Lisa asks…

On Medical Mayhem ( Facebook Game), how can you hack the amount of gold you have?

I've seen people do it before. The first person that tells me how to do it step by step I will give them the best answer.

admin answers:

Honestly, what is wrong with just getting gold the old fashioned way: earning it.

You want to impress a girl? Stay away from Facebook. She's got others viewing it, and you don't know who else in your class are reading it.

You're sharing not only to a girl, to the whole world ABOUT YOU.

It should be one-on-one.

Questions About How To Deactivate Facebook Timeline

Mary asks…

How to deactivate facebook timeline?

So, I wanted to try timeline out to see if it's actually all it's cracked up to be because my one friend said it was "great". Well to me it's congested and unfamiliar and I hate the giant picture idea...COME ON that's what a profile picture is for! Sometimes when the picture's too big you can't even scale it, it's simplay worthless... I hate this feature and don't say the thing with the facebook developers delete app or edit app thing because when I click on that there is NO delete app because it says I have NO apps and there is NO edit app only 'create new app' Someone please help...it's annoying me to the brim

admin answers:

There is no way to get rid of it - everyone is being converted to the timeline - it's the new look for facebook

here's how to set it up

http://abrax.us/Facebook/TimelineChecklist.php

Maria asks…

About Facebook Timeline?

So, does anyone know if you can "undo" or deactivate facebook timeline once you opt to activate it? How is everyone liking it so far?

Thanks

admin answers:

Although for the moment Facebook did not make a clear statement about the deployment of the upgrade in any of its official pages, and as a consequence there is a lot of false information going around, experienced users know that Facebook upgrades of this size are never optional.

Besides, there are clear evidences that indicate that there will be no way to go back to the old Profile. Take a look at the article in the source to see what those evidences are.

Betty asks…

Deactivate 'Timeline' on Facebook?

I was curious what 'Timeline was all about on Facebook. I installed it, but found I I didn,t like it. Anyone know how to get rid of it??

admin answers:

There is no way to get rid of it - once you start using it, it's permanent

Lizzie asks…

How can I delete Timeline on my Facebook profile? Read details...?

I really don't care for the new Facebook Timeline app. I didn't install Timeline on purpose, and I really don't want it at all. Is there any way I can deactivate Timeline, rather than going to http://developers.facebook.com/apps. I tried doing this several times, but there is no place where it says I can edit an app, because I don't have any apps on there (or at least, none that are showing up). Is there any way I can delete Timeline without that website, or at least somehow get the app so I can edit it and delete it? Sorry, this is a bit confusing, but thank you in advance!

admin answers:

You can no longer opt out of the timeline profile... Once you get it, you have to use it from now on

so here's some help for learning how to use it

http://abrax.us/Facebook/TimelineChecklist.php

Charles asks…

How I disable my timeline on facebook?

I didn't create an app for the timeline like everyone else did. I clicked on the help button and typed in "timeline" and it sent me to the page where it says get timeline. I do not want it anymore and would like to deactivate it. If you can help that would be great. Thanks!

admin answers:

Questions About How To Deactivate Facebook

Daniel asks…

How Deactivate facebook without changing anything?

I want to deactivate facebook and focus on more importings but i just have one question, If i deactivate it and when i reactivate will all my tag pictures and convo still be there. And how to do so?

admin answers:

Yes. All your tags, conversations and every detail ever posted to your profile will be there upon re-activating your account. De-activating simply means you are putting your Facebook "to sleep" and you can re-activate it at any time you want by simply signing in to your account with your username and password as normal. To de-activate your account, simply follow these steps:
1) Go to Account (top right hand corner of your FB Home page)
2) Click on the "Settings" option
3) Click on "De-activate Account"

George asks…

Is there a limit to how often you can deactivate Facebook?

I deactivated my Facebook last night, but since then I've remembered that I don't have backups for the photos I kept on there. I'd like to go back in and retrieve them, but only if I can deactivate my account right away afterwards.

I think I remember that MySpace made you wait a few days before removing your account for a second time. Does Facebook do that, too?

admin answers:

No, it is unlimited, but if you do it repeatedly in a short time, they may confront you and ask if you are really you

Chris asks…

when you deactivate facebook, how long until you lose everything for good?

is it 6 months .. a year etc? I am speaking of deactivating and no deletion of facebook.

I dont want to lose all my friends, pictures etc. I just need to deactivate it sometimes
so I can focus on my life. How long can I keep it deactivated before I lose it all?

admin answers:

As far as I'm concerned there's no time limit for your account to be deactivated.

Mary asks…

How to deactivate facebook from iPod touch?

I have tried five times to deactivate but it dosent work. Don't tell me to look on the computer I wanna know how to do it from my iPod touch?

admin answers:

I used to have a IPod Touch but never deactivate my account from it but I can tell you that you can.

There are two Facebook a cellphone can see/use and it's "Mobile Facebook = How you see it from a cellphone" and "Regular Facebook = how you see it from a computer". Instead of going on "Mobile Facebook" you should open it as a regular Facebook then you go to settings and account and etc. I forgot where the change of Mobile to Regular on a IPod Screen so I can't help you there but you gotta look for it. Best of luck!

William asks…

can I deactivate facebook so others can't see my profile but i can still see theirs?

I'm just in a bad time right now where I really don't want a lot of people to know what I'm doing or my business, but I still want to see what some other people are doing on facebook. How do I select the option where I can still post on some people's walls and look at people's profiles but they can't click on mine? I've seen people who have done that but I don't know how.

admin answers:

Your privacy settings have nothing to do with other people's.

If you set yours to Private (just go through the privacy options and select everything you want to be private), then nobody can see that stuff.

But you might want to be more open about yourself and stop creeping on peoples' facebooks that you wouldn't want to see yours!

Questions About How To Enable Cookies In Internet Explorer

Michael asks…

How to enable cookies in Internet Explorer 8?

I'm trying to log in to a particular site and I cant log in because the message "your cookies are disbaled" keeps popping up. What do I do?>

admin answers:

Okay, this is kind of like tech support would answer. But note, I am not a tech support person. I am just me. Now, on your Internet Explorer page at the top right is as follows: three little boxes or icons, which are a house, a star and a gear. Left click on the gear and left click on Internet options, then you will get a multiple folder and the tab that you need to click on his privacy tab and you will see at the bottom three boxes that are either checked or not checked one of those boxes turn your pop-up blocker off and on, remove the check from the pop up blocker, then restart your Internet Explorer and check it once again to make sure it's off or the check is not there and you're good to go. Good luck

David asks…

How to Enable cookies in the Internet Explorer?

admin answers:

Go to Tools - Options - Privacy.

Set it to Medium or simply add the site you need cookies for to the Safe list.

Jenny asks…

How do I enable cookies on Internet Explorer 8?

For the past few weeks, I have been unable to log into facebook, period, from my home PC. I CAN, however, reset my password, click on the link in the confirmation e-mail, and then get back into facebook after resetting my password...
I also noticed that on another site, yourmusic.com, I wasn't allowed to enter a link from my e-mail, it said "please enable cookies"
And also on Yahoo mail, it remembers my username but I have to re-enter my password every time.
CBSsports.com and espn.com have me logged in every time with no password required.

Now, one would think I was blocking cookies. However, my privacy settings are on Medium and haven't changed at all and even if I change them to "Accept All Cookies" it doesn't fix the problem.

Any suggestions?
Tried allowing 1st-party and blocking 3rd-party. Same problem

At the top of Internet Explorer hit TOOLS then INTERNET OPTIONS then open the PRIVACY TAB, finally open ADVANCE. You want FIRST PARTY COOKIES set to ACCEPT, and THIRD PARTY COOKIES set to BLOCK. Third party cookies are used to spy on you

How do I enable cookies in my browser? My browser is internet Explorer and operating system is windows xp?

While trying to access my online training, when I enter my username and password, the system tells me I've entered a invalid username or password,it has been suggested that I need to enable cookies in my browser, how do I do that?

admin answers:

Open Internet Explorer and do the following:
1) Go to Tools > Internet Options
2) Click on the "Privacy" Tab
3) Move the slider so that the privacy setting is set to "Medium."
4) Click on "Advanced" to make sure the "Override automatic cookie handling" checkbox is NOT checked

This should work for most cases.

If it does not work, you may have some other security program(s) that block cookies, or the site you're using may not work in a standard way. If so, update your question to show which security program(s) you have installed (antivirus, firewall, anti-spyware, etc.) and the name of the site giving you the error. Then I'll answer again.

admin answers:

Go to internet options, then privacy tab, then adjust your settings to allow your computer to "always accept cookies" from that site. Also, you can adjust the slider to medium if it isn't already so that most sites will be allowed to run.
