how hard and risky is it to jailbreak 4.2.1 iphone?

i was thinking to try to jailbreak my iphone 4.2.1 and want to now how hard it is and the risks?

If your using a mac, you can use redsnow to jailbreak 4.2.1. There isn't a jailbreak out quite yet for windows. My suggestion would be to downgrade to 4.1 if you have your SHSH blobs on file with cydia and jailbreak with limera1n. I would do this because 4.3 will be out shortly and you will just have to wait some more for another JB for that. But it's up to you.

Just link up to itunes and sync and it should work but if it doesn't just restore it but make sure you back up the data on the iphone . My iphone did the same (being slow) so i uninstalled the jail break too.

Its not possible since all you jailbroken data is registered with 4.2.6 and wouldn't recognize and wont be recognized on ios 5 which has newer security updates that prevent jailbroken data from being used

I had i phone 3g 16 gig wid me which was jailbreak and unlocked and worked fine until one day i updated the software in tunes. My i phone software was updated but it got locked.
now when i turn it on i see a msg" No Sim card installed" " insert a valid sim with no pic lock to activate iphone "
and when i slide it says emergency calls only.
how do i jail break my phone now. really need help.thanx

Yeah as the guy said above, if you plug your Iphone into itunes and restore it should get rid of the jailbreak, However the only problem with this is you will lose all the apps you got from the jailbreak

First off, jailbreaking an iphone is illegal. Ipods arent, but iphones are ;)
anyways, if you go to green posion, on the right, it will give you on option to choose windows or mac
