How can I jailbreak iPod touch and back up my limewire tunes?

My dumbself updated my ipod to 3.0 and that messed up my jailbreak. I get all my songs from limewire and if I rejailbreak it, i will lose all my music. I dont want to download all that music again. So is there anyway I can rejailbreak my iPod touch 2nd Gen and back up my limewire music? Please help. It is appreciated.

Redsn0w does not cause you to lose any information from your disk. You can back up your music like normal.

What is quickfreedom for to jailbreak iPod touch? And how do you jailbreak for free?

I am getting an iPod touch 32gb for my christmas and I want to jailbreak it as I have heard that you can get free movies, games, music, etc. I heard about quickfreedom to do it. What is quickfreedom? And hw does it work? Also, is it safe, and does it work? I want a free, easy way of jailbreaking my new iPod, and if you have any other ways of doing this, please let me know.

Ok Quickfreedom only works for version 2.2.1 firmware, and if your getting it at christmas it will definately not have this firmware. So you will need to use another program e.g redsn0w or purplera1n to jailbreak. Jailbreaking is mainly safe but does have a few risks involved. One downside is that jailbreaking will void your warranty.

I had the same promblem i decided it wasn't worth it since the iphone os 4.0 software is coming out this summer with multitasking and lot of other things a jailbroken ipod touch has. I can't get multitasking on my ipod touch 2g so I am going to get the one coming out this september. Also if you jailbreak it Apple's warranty does not cover it no more.

How can jailbreak my iPod touch to where the system think it's like an iPad or iPhone? Someone did it to my brothers.

You cant jailbreak it under a different firmware. Your brother is most likely lying and he just downloaded springtomize off of cydia and turned on the fake phone and messages app. Theres no way to make an ipod think its an iphone.

I have a 2G and have jailbroken it, it works just fine, and I am really glad I did Jailbreak it. Anyway, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08i6as7iPuY that tells you the 100% easies way to jailbreak (it is definitely true, before jailbreaking I searched for at least 2 months for the best way to do it) it works perfectly, just look in the You-Tube description to find the download link, it works like a charm!

I was originally unsure about jailbreaking, but now I KNOW that it is COMPLETELY worth it! One of my friends saw my jailbroken iPod, and now he actually wants to just buy an iPod and give it to me to jailbreak.
